New BB Transfer In
Huskie Pride is reporting on twitter that guard Michael Orris is transfering to NIU from Kansas State. He played HS ball at Crete-Monee.

Here's some articles about him leaving K-State.

Another huge get. This kid had offers from Pittsburgh, Creighton and Illinois in addition to K State.

Only thing is he has to sit a year, but between him and the Armstead brothers decent recruits are all of a sudden falling into our lap. Way to go MM.

Sadly I don't expect much next year. It would be great to simply not lose 20 games. By the time Orris is eligible we should be ready to rock.

In the two yrs that Monty has been here, He has gotten the best talent, in the MAC. There is another good one to come. I cannot say who. The winning is about to start. I understand the skeptics but its here!

2013-14, may be possible uncertain at this time. These kids want instant gratification and in many cases think they are better than they are. When things don't go as planned, they are looking to get out. Over 300 transfers since the final four, its out of control.

Orris coming in doesn't sound good for the Grays situation. Transfers count against schollys even while they sit. It may also mean Balls and or Baker gone. Highsmith, Armstead, and Mike Davis should handle the guard positions.

This is excellent news. It finally looks like we have hope. Looking forward to seeing what these kids can do.

If it is, Vincent Garrett makes the most sense since he's from Chicago

Yep. Thats who I was thinking. I wonder if he might be able to get a waiver because the coach.

It's already public that he wants to transfer so it makes sense. He should have a strong case to get a waiver to play immediately. He would be a senior anyway though.

Best talent in the MAC? Way too early to make that statement.

The best talent in the MAC? Come on!
Either you've gone overboard on the Kool-Aid or else if this statement is true, then it's a sad commentary on Monty's coaching ability.
First, it was wait until he gets his own players, then it was we're still too young. Based on all this optimism, you're saying there's no longer any excuse if MM's team doesn't have a winning season, doesn't win or take second in the division, and at least makes the MAC semis?
Just keep in mind while we've got transfers coming in, so do other teams; while we've got new recruits, so do other teams. Other teams plan on continuing to win, we're simply hoping to start being competitive.
