Can we stop condemning the ENTIRE University because 2 professors make the news?

Would you want your school judged off their 2 worst employees or a small group of students? It's terribly unfair and ridiculous and you all know it.

I haven't really looked into the Boston tragedy but I admire his courage. It takes guts not to just parrot what has been handed to us and in turn risk losing it all because people will crucify you for it.

Many people don't want to hear anything unless it parrots what they hear as "official," which is why people are even reluctant to do it even in a setting like this which is semi-anonymous (and I know some of you out there also feel like this). It doesn't make every conspiracy theory true as some want to believe but I do also get sick of having to hold back because people fiercely chastise you for even questioning the official story of anything.

And, it's not just two professors. It's the administration's hostility towards students (nearly running a protestor over) and all the other crap they've said. And of course that your administration even considered the prison naming rights...makes y'all look bad. Instead of pretending it's not a problem, how about you agree that is and that it needs to be fixed because it's making your school look REALLY bad in the news? You even got filleted by Colbert. Get some changes done.

Running over a protestor....haha. The girl was accidentally brushed by a side mirror after surrounding the President's car as she was pulling out of a parking spot after the police told her to move.

Look, nobody is saying it hasn't been a rough few months of PR for the school...and the handling of the incidents has been horrendous. A lot of what has happened has been way over-blown, but when something comes up, you either go out and appologize or you fight back aggressively. FAU's administration has done neither. They have let the media control the story, and I think it will ultimately cost people their jobs. That said, to make a judgement of the ENTIRE school off of any of these incidents or because of the actions of a single professor is just silly.

And you REALLY need to let something go that happened over a year ago on the SBC board, and all that was done was moving it to the smack board because it was headed that way quickly. I didnt delete it or even close it just moved it to avoid people bitching and moaning. Hell you can still post on it right now if its your desire. The thread is open, just on the smack board. Thats called doing a moderators job. No one has issued a warning to you for discussing moderation issues here in public which any of us could. If you want to go that route keep it up.

I deleted YOUR posts on the FIU board which you were warned about, there are plenty of FAU posters who can post to their hearts content. I don't agree with the way this place is run so I would not be a very good moderator, thanks for asking.
