USM all over UAB again. First game of DblHdr. Hopefully some team can add to USM's L column.

21-6 is the 7-inning final score.

Sunday's game has been moved up to 6:30 p.m. today, due to impending weather.

And UCF rallied to beat UH 5-4, but at least ECU took one from Memphis. WE also need to pull hard for Hawaii to take another from CSF, and Stanford to take at least one this weekend from Oregon.

In other news. Watching NC at NCSt. NC 0 - NCSt 7 B6. NC not looking as sharp defensively as you might expect the #1 team. Several bobbled balls.

We're lucky we didn't play a home series this weekend. Yikes 5-7 inches of rain already tonight at Rice?

We need to pull harder:

Hawaii put up a fight in T9 (single, walk, stolen base, HBP and two fielder's choices), but scored no runs and lost to Cal State-Fullerton, 5-0.

Stanford lost its second straight @Oregon, 6-4, on Saturday.

And in other games today:

LSU shut out at home by South Carolina 4-0
Stanford at Oregon tied 2-2 in 7th. Go trees!
Ringo -- you remember Ringo -- pops one over the fence in the 8th. Trees up by one. Now T9.

Two leadoff walks, an RBI double and an RBI squeeze bunt in B9 gives the Ducks a 4-3 win. Sigh. No road-win-RPI-bumps for Stanford this weekend, as they get swept in three close games, 2-1, 6-4 and 4-3, in Eugene.

I know. I had to turn it off after the second walk. Couldn't bear to watch. Too familiar.

On Sunday, the Rainbows only got 2 hits. Fullerton won, 3-0, to take the series, 2-1. At least Hawaii won Friday's contest.
