I have some pics to share but I don't know how to post them on here. The "Insert Image" thing asks for a URL but I just have JPEG images stored on my computer. Can someone please help me?

If your picture is online right click it. Click "View Image Info"
Copy the location

Back on the thread you want to post...
Type

[img]Paste the image location you copied[/img]


No spaces in between the ][ and your pasted text.

Note this image will show up on here exactly the same size as the one you copy.

Like John said, right click the picture you find on google, website, etc.....click copy url....then when replying click the insert image button above the reply text box (the little mountain and sun), paste the url you just copied, and whala...

I'm talking about pics I took myself, or someone sent to me, that are stored on my computer as JPEG images. They are not on the internet and therefore do not have a URL. They would be found someplace like this:
C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Pictures.

Ahhh....underneath the reply text box, look for the Attachments section. There you can add your pics as attatchments, they wont show in the post but peope will be able to view/download them...

Go to a thread. Hit preview post. After the text box you see the Attachments box. Browse for the pic you want and then click Add Attachment. The limit with this is 500k per image so you will likely have to resize the pic.


Or you can post the pic on a free photo hosting page like flicker or facebook. Then do the first suggestion.

Install this:

https://www.dropbox.com/install

This will give you an online account that will sync with a folder called Dropbox that it will put on your c: drive. If you put the app on your phone (if that's what you use to take photos), it will automatically upload your photos to the online account and put them on your C: drive.

Then you paste the link from your online account to the Insert Image field.

go to http://www.imgur.com, click upload photos, and upload away
