Sounds like its way off if ever, and that it might be worst for FCS. Lets just get a few more thousand in our stadiums on game day, then we won't care who we play.

If something likes this happens, they should right away label all the players as professionals. It will not be college sports anymore.

I agree the big boys could care less about the NCAA, but they will keep them around just to set the ground rules and provide a facade for the public that college football is about the student-athletes.

To some degree the illusion that guys suiting up for Alabama and USC are just like every other student at the university is what allows these programs to bring home the big $.

Yep.. millions of people aren't watching the NBA DLeague or minor league baseball. The affiliation to the schools & being student-athletes is a huge part of it.
