Hitting Streak
Frost extended his hitting streak to 20 games today. Anyone know what the school record is?

RE: Hitting Streak
I found a 23 game single-season streak Doug Gann 3/9-4/21/91. Don't know if it is still the longest http://www.uabsports.com/sports/m-basebl...01aaa.html

Hitting Streak
I didn't see one in the media guide either. Should we say it's 23? Lol

RE: Hitting Streak
If I had to guess, if it was broken it would be by Nick Crawford or Stuart Thompson.

Interesting tidbit I found while hunting. The single season batting average is held by Hector Villanueva at .476.

Below are the most hits in a career.

HITS
1. Shayne Carnes . 306 (1995-98)
2. Kristin Metheny. 295 (1989-92)
3. Jonathan Merritt . 263 (2007-10)
4. Nick Crawford. 245 (2008-11)
Brian Jersey. 245 (1993-96)
6. Stuart Thompson. 243 (1990-93)
7. Phil Bell. 223 (2005-08)
8. Mitch Jones. 220 (2000-03)
9. Jamal Austin. 209 (2009-11)
10 Jonny Morgan. 205 (1983-86)

Unfortunately, the only two 'likes' on his Facebook page related to college sports are Nick Saban and the University of Alabama. Let that sink in for a minute. The all-time career hits leader at UAB -- the Steve Mitchell of UAB baseball -- 'likes' the University of Alabama but not his own school. Disappointing.

Wow

And I did not know that either.

There was a family in church that I knew growing up that I have been following on facebook.

Well there are about 15 or so of them in the family now & they decided to all put on their gump gear for a family photo.

Now I am all for showing support for your school as I do UAB, but sometimes, just sometimes, you may be going way too overboard with things.

Yes, my life does revolve around something other than just UAB.
