Future schedules
The WAC did not allow members to play @ FCS opponents .
I am not sure if the Sun Belt has a similar rule.

Assuming there is no such rule and the dome gets expanded.

Idaho could play WSU 2 for 1 for say a six year period.
Idaho could also play Montana 2 for 1 with Idaho getting the 2 home games the same six years.

Montana travels well so it would give Idaho one well attended OOC game a year.

Montana would get an FBS team that is a rival at home once every three years.

WSU gets an extra game at home or 8 miles away to offset the game in Seattle .

RE: Future schedules
Hmmmm. I thought FBS could not play at FCS sites. I do recall us (Idaho) playing at Montana when we were Big West though (QB was John Welsh, his senior year), but that was when we had D-1 and D-1A levels. I hope we do NOT play at a FCS site.

I know it may not be worth it but Montana playing in Moscow would be a good thing.Just thinking of a creative way to help attendance and have one strong OOC game a year attendance wise.

RE: Future schedules
How about just playing WSU 2 for 1 with one being a money game.

We could pay Montana and Montana St are usual fee plus the money from WSU. This would give us an even schedule and either Montana school or WSU at home every year.

You think WSU would play in Moscow? Or would the game be in Pullman, but considered our home game? We have done this in the past.

Montana or MSU must do a 2 for 1. I hate the idea of us (FBS) going there. I know their facilities are better than ours (hopefully Dome expansion gets us to 20K), but I just cringe at setting a precedent. Tell me any FBS team who is going to play at an FCS site. We have in the past --- Big West at UM.

The dome probably needs to get to 26k or after the digdown for this to be plausible. The reason it would be worth it is to increase attendance which is needed to expand further.

RE: Future schedules
I know there has been talk of a "dig down" (increase is not much --- 4K?), but I see that never happening. I heard engineers say that the footings sunk from the bleachers on the Kibbie go deep and way out into the area where the teams' benches are located. A dig down would disturb these footings and structurally it would not be a plausible venture, citing safety issues and high cost to blast them out.
