FSU transfer?
A QB from Florida St. with 2 years eligibility left is looking to transfer. Any info on this?

He's graduating early meaning he can transfer to any school and play immediately. I think I heard he is considering WVU and another FBS school. He's not coming here.

What if a 1A player transfers to Appy/ODU/GSU...do they have to sit out a yr? Those schools are not playing 1A yet. What a potential way to get a good transfer..."you can xfer to a 1A (to be) AND not sit out."

Once a school begins the process to move up by doing things like upping their scholly numbers, they would not be able to use this loophole as you suggest. As mentioned above, in this case this does not matter as Clint Trickett will be eligible to play FBS next year. He graduates from FSU in May and will be seeking further education at another school in a field that FSU does not offer. This will give him an exemption to the rule and allow immediate eligibility at the new school. The only hiccup would be if FSU refused to grant his request for transfer in which case they can hold his eligibility hostage. FSU has already granted him a release so this is a non-issue as well.
