It’s always football season

UC football players finished spring practice a month ago, but the sun never really sets on football. Offseason conditioning runs through the end of July and practice resumes soon after.

Tommy Tuberville and the Bearcats are staying busy, with practice officially resuming Aug. 5. (The Enquirer/Joseph Fuqua II)

A glance at the Bearcats football calendar, leading up to the opener in August:

July 26-28: Tommy Tuberville Fantasy Football Camp
Lindner Center/Sheakley Athletics Center

July 29-30: American Athletic Conference Media Day
Newport, Rhode Island

July 31: Women’s Football Clinic
5-9 p.m. – Lindner Center/Nippert Stadium

August 4: Football camp check in

August 5: First day of practice

August 9: Move to Higher Ground practice facility

August 18: Football Meet The Team Day
1-5 p.m. – Kings Island

August 23: Move back to campus

August 31: Season opener vs. Purdue at Nippert Stadium (time TBA)

NOTE: The Tuberville fantasy camp is for all men (21 and older), who are invited to experience what it takes to be a Division I college football player.

Some of the activities include social outings with Coach Tuberville and his staff, facility tours, on-field drill work with coaches, meetings with coordinators and position coaches and question and answer sessions.

Each participant will receive a personalized authentic jersey, workout shorts, travel suit, polo shirt, travel bag, personalized locker plate, highlight video and picture with Coach Tuberville.

The cost is $2,000, which includes meals, refreshments and hotel accommodations for two nights (double occupancy).

Space is limited to the first 35 participants. For more information or to register, visit GoBEARCATS.com or contact Katie Pavel in the UCATS office at 513-556-9763.
