Didn't initially like the numbers but now that the actual photos have been released I like them much better. I would have liked to have seen them a little blockier but from what I am hearing the players picked the design, so if they are happy that's all that matters.

I really like these pics, plus the fact that this page is now probably one of the longest on csnbbs...

The agreement with Russell covers five years and encompasses total compensation for the University of $2.75 million.

RE: Here's actual pictures of USM's new uni's
I think USM will like the switch to Russell. Ohio has been with them for years and has had a good relationship. Their contract came up for renewal this year and after going through the bid process Ohio chose to resign with Russell again.

The big advantage to signing with Russell is USM will be treated like a premier client, because they are. USM, Ohio, WKU, Colorado State and La Lafayette are the only FBS progams with Russell. If you remember seeing Ohio's black jersey freakout video those alternate unis were given to Ohio by Russell, I'm not sure if a bigger sponsor like Nike or Reebok would have done that for a MAC school.

The word I've heard from Coaches is that the priority attention the student athletes receive from Russell is a good selling point to recruits and they don't feel wearing a Russell branded shirt in a recruit's home hurts their chances any.

The one complaint I have about Russell is that they don't offer a lot of products for fans to purchase- shirts, polos, jerseys, etc. The new unis look good, congrats.

Actually some of the most comfortable shirts I've gotten with USM on it are Russell shirts..

I'm liking it though.. The white jerseys look better.. Let me rephrase that, the numbers look better on the white jerseys.

I have a nice Russell brand Marshall golf polo. It was right after we made the switch back to Kelly Green. I liked it better than the Nike coaches polos that came out that year.

GT. and they are really growing their brand by giving teams the 5 star treatment.

I thought GT was with them too but they aren't listed on Russell's wikipedia page so I thought they had left recently. Must be a mistake.
