I think Memphis will be more competitive than people think this year, and perhaps steal a game or two we shouldn't. But challenging the top of the AAC might take a few more years.

Rome wasn't built in a day, but the Tigers will improve this year. It just won't be enough to finish upper half of the AAC...

Never happen may be a tad extreme, but how long can Memphis live off these wins? The victories were against:

3-8 Southern Cal in 1991
7-5 Florida in 1988

2-8 Auburn in 1976

I was talking about this year when I said never. Not an infinite trajectory into time.
