Do you know your FB teams' weightroom records? I don't know all of ours and I forgot what the old one for the bench press was but today LB Mike Orakpo set a new bench press record of 520 lbs only to be outdone later by DE Jamie Clavell-Head at 560.

RB Terrence Franks did a press of 455.


We have a "night of champions" instilled by coach Fran last year. Anyone on the team that wants to participate, does so. It's all weight lifting, plus the 40 time. It will be this Thursday night. I'll post any records set at the event.

The above RB is currently the "fastest Bobcat" on the team; having earned that honor at last year's "night"

Would be good to keep Sun Belt statistics for every team to see who is
the best or fastest in the SB. Might promote conditioning and weight training
within the conference. Could even help a recruits draftability.

As far as I know, yes

The videos show the spotter keeping both hands on the bar at all times. Hard to say it was unassisted.

He posted on FB that he topped out at 540 for the day. Interestingly enough, he's not doing the bench press in the NoC tomorrow.

I don't know the exact number, but USA's record is 10 pounds more that whatever the highest total given in this thread will be.

Our QB is pressing 475. Brent Rusell, graduating DT was at 530

Aforementioned RB set the new FB 40 time record @ 4.29

The kid ran track in HS but he is a RS Junior, so it's been a while since he and team mates set a State record.
