Why insult Ft. Worth, Texas (CowTown). they don't deserve that.....They have much higher standards than the folks in c-bus. and the population (cattle) in the Ft. Worth Stockyards are alot freindlier and probably look and smell better the animals on campus down there.......

^^^^ My nomination for POST OF THE YEAR... 04-bow04-bow04-bow

I think it's great that Tricia will remain at UT. She could stay here forever and still have a great career.

However, I would tell her that if she want to take over a major program, she needs to get her teams to the NCAA tournament. OSU wanted to hire a women, but McGuff took Xavier to 6 NCAA tournaments, including the elite eight. Bill Fennelly took Toledo to the NCAA's three times before he got the Iowa State job.

Actually I think that she is beginning to accumulate a resume which big time programs are aware of. NCAA tourney appearances would certainly enhance that resume but not much if those appearances are one and done. Toledo would need to get to the sweet sixteen for Tricia to really be noticed and acknowledged at a national level. And that is certainly not going to happen next year. So I expect she will be around in Toledo at least 2-3 more years.

Why not??? Kansas had an RPI of 58 and got there this season? It's all who you draw, and who is healthy. You can get hot at the right time and make noise. With the defense Toledo plays I wouldn't put much out of the realm of possibility.

But the Lady Rockets have to get to the dance first. And they were not able to to that this year with a team loaded with experience and an exceptional defense. We don't know what the new recruits will do but it would be really heavy lifting for them to replace the players who left....and they couldn't get to the NCAA.

Recruiting is importatant if she does turn it down too. I don't know, it is really wierd, and with as many that have turned down OSU due to unrealistic goals and expectations by osu I just can't believe she will take it either but $6600k raise I don't know!!!!!!!!

If she leaves for the money, then she isn't the person we thought she was. Why have 7 other coaches turnd down the job?

Sorry, but I have issues with your statement that "she isn't the person we thought she was". People every day leave their jobs for better paying jobs. Why should she be held to a different standard? I don't think that leaving for a better paying job says anything about the kind of person she is. How could you blame her for going to a bigger school with a bigger budget and a bigger paycheck?

exactly. how many ut football coaches left in the last 10 years?

And Kansas has had much more talented teams not get so far as the sweet 16. I mean Baylor was thought to be one of the best teams in the history of womens basketball, and they only got as far as the sweet 16.

We had tallent last season, but poor shooting from beyond the arc and from the free throw line. We will still have tallent this upcoming year, but if we improve in those other areas we could be a vastly different team. Possibly a hot and cold team built to make a run. Maybe less predictable eh?
