A translation of one of their Russian social media site pages from Russia Today says they're Muslim, but who knows. The politics of Chechen refugees is so screwed up that speculating is useless

The irony in this situation is that they came to America about ten years ago as refugees. The youngest was a standout athlete and won a scholarship from Cambridge.

They've been here roughly 10 years, according to their uncle. Went to high school here, college here, boxed and wrestled, etc.

Additionally, the younger brother (the one still on the loose) was naturalized, while the older brother was not.

So, given that information, this appears to be domestic. The only thing that might make it otherwise is if they were affiliated with a foreign terrorist group/organization that instructed them - or assisted them - to do these things. However, we do not know that as of right now and there is currently no evidence to suggest that that's the case.

I suspect that they were allowed in because of their uncle living here.

I wouldn't call it a domestic attack though, not sure what to call it.

Well based on the little I've seen of the uncle's comments, it sounds as though there's some islamic parts to the reason they did it but they're Chechen so who will really knows unless the one on the run is taken alive & comes out & says why.

Yea the guy running became a citizen on 9/11 last years I think.

CNN reporting that they got him cornered. Sure looks like something is going on with all the cop traffic
