Have at it. He would look a 1,000 times worse than he looks now.
No idea what skeletons UC could have. **** him.

I believe he got out of criminal charges in a plea deal to testify for prosecution.

Well put and couldn't agree more.
Here's a question for the lawyer types out there...
I would think that what he did to cause the disbarrment in Kentucky would be criminal. How is it that he's not going through a criminal trial? Is the disbarrment part of plea?
Also, the original article says that he'll likely loose his law license in Ohio as well. Is that the same thing as being disbarred?

This has probably been answered in the papers down there so I apologize in advance.

I'm an idiot when it comes to the law, but I thought the whole Phen-Phen thing was a class action civil matter. Sound like what he did was a breach of ethics, not criminal.

Thanks for the clarifications.
The article does state that he was disbarred for unethical practices so maybe it wasn't criminal. The only reason I thought so was because he personally gained monetarily from these unethical practices.
Still, I call shenanigans. :D

RE: UC trustees demand Chesley resign by 5 p.m. today
Mayor Mark Mallory has thrown himself into the middle of a fight over whether lawyer Stan Chesley should stay on the University of Cincinnati Board of Trustees.

In a letter to the Enquirer sent Tuesday, Mallory calls on “Stan” to “ignore calls for your resignation.”

Seven of the nine University of Cincinnati trustees are urging the disbarred lawyer to resign. Chesley, of Indian Hill. was disbarred March 21 by the Kentucky Supreme Court for unethical actions in connection with a $200 million settlement for people sickened by the diet drug fen-phen, and likely will lose his law license in Ohio. The board gave Chesley until 5 p.m. Monday to resign; he hasn’t.

Enquirer higher education reporter Cliff Peale notes the letter puts Mallory at odds with the power brokers on the UC board, including Chairman Fran Barrett, Wym Portman, Tom Humes and Rob Richardson.

Trustees will meet Thursday morning to try to push Chesley off the board. They’re expected to try to strip him of committee assignments and keep him from representing UC in public.

“We need Stan Chesley to continue to serve on the UC Board of Trustees,” Mallory wrote. ”Chesley’s commitment to the University of Cincinnati cannot be questioned. This is his second term on the Board, and through all of those years, he has aggressively worked to make UC set and reach the highest standards. We need that type of impassioned leadership on the UC Board.”

Chesley and Mallory have long been allies; the lawyer donates and raises money to help keep city pools open virtually every summer. He’s also been a major donor and fundraiser for Democratic candidates.

I won't take that bet. Really stupid to publicly throw darts at UC over an internal BOT matter than has nothing to do with The City or The Mayor's office.

Maybe Stan is going to give Mallory the rest of the money for the street car, since its already $20m over budget and the city is broke.

Mallory is a clown. The man has been disbarred for basically theft, taking exorbitant Amit sof money as fees in a case and pretty much lying about it. He cannot remain on the BOT of a major university especially considering the Ohio disbarment will be coming soon.
