I missed some Mad Men episodes and have not watched it in awhile until I can sit down and catch up.

Not a big fan of Westerns, but have enjoyed Hell on Wheels pretty well.

Really hate that Breaking Bad is ending. One of the best produced series with really good actors. Imagine the ending may be bad if they are trying to send a message to not do this.

I don't think we can call Hell On Wheels a western so to say.

And Rectify is from the same people that brought you Breaking Bad

RE: OT: AMC Networks Programming (AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, We TV)
So as you may have noticed I changed the title from AMC to AMC Networks to better represent the thread. This was done in part because of Rectify (former AMC developmental project that was picked up by Sundance) and in part to the first update.

Link The Untitled LaGravenese/Goldwyn Legal Thriller, which is an AMC developmental project, is likely to be picked up by We TV once a new showrunner is found.

Link Halt & Catch Fire's pilot was filmed in Georgia during April.

Link Turn's pilot was slated to begin filming in Richmond during April and has been said it would take a few month to film, around 6 months for AMC to decide on the pickup, and if picked up would not be ready to air until 2015.

Link Line Of Sight received a pilot order in April.

Hell On Wheels was pushed back a week from August 3rd to 10th.

The Descendants likely to premiere on Sundance Channel in early 2014.

Link Portlandia renewed for Seasons 4(2014) and 5(2015).

Is Small Town Security the one about a guy that gets out of prison and becomes the new sheriff of a town when the guy that was taking over is killed?
Does anyone know the name of that show?

Hell on Wheels is a western. It is Blazing Saddles with violence. Railroads, Indians, brothels, hired guns, horses, etc. is about as western as you can get.

Late to the discussion but what did you think of the season? Don is staying in NY, right? Ted is out of the picture. I see Don trying to put his family back together or at least becoming a family man again. Does he grab Peggy and Pete and start a new company?

BTW, Roger Sterling's daughter is my cousin (the actress that is). Had to brag a little.

No Small Town Security is a reality show that's only purpose is for AMC to suck the succulent nip of the Georgia filming money. Not sure what show you're thinking of.

It's a western but it's in a time period we don't usually see on tv that's what i was trying to say, you know?

RE: OT: AMC Networks Programming (AMC, IFC, Sundance Channel, We TV)
Sundance news today.

The Writer's Room premieres July 29th at 10 pm.

Developmental slate:

Valentines - Based on the novel by Olaf Olafsson, Valentines is a white-knuckled emotional journey, capturing the most candid of moments between lovers when unspoken truths and long buried secrets surge to the surface and everything changes in an instant. The story follows Herman Peterson - a high-powered New York attorney, and his three attractive daughters - Cathryn, Margaret, and Soley - as we delve into their upscale homes, cosmopolitan social circles, and volatile personal relationships to discover that not all is what it seems. Writer: Olaf Olafsson (novels including, "The Journey Home" and "Absolution") | Producers: Sundance Productions (Robert Redford & Laura Michalchyshyn), Fred Berner

Behind the Sun - A wildly distinct coming-of-age tale set in the surfer paradise of Malibu, Calif., during the mid-1980s that follows the growing pains of the Georges - a determined, single child family whose lives begin to unravel after teenage son Farron learns he has an incredibly rare allergy to the sun. The series explores the shifting notions of parenting, and how the delayed adolescence and personal ambitions of the adults within this world are throwing their children into psychological and physical jeopardy. Writer: Dylan Gary (Tell Me You Love Me) | Producers: Olive Productions (Stanley Tucci, Steve Buscemi, Wren Arthur)

T - A deeply personal look at Terrence, a transgender male who has recently undergone gender reassignment surgery and is beginning to live life as a man. Series cuts between Terrence's emotional struggle in the present and his past as Thora - a lesbian, student activist at Mt. Holyoke College circa 2005 struggling to find her true self. Writer: Anya Epstein (In Treatment) and Dan Futterman (In Treatment, Capote) | Producers: Ira Glass & Alissa Shipp (This American Life)

Death in the Modern Age - After his personal and professional lives implode in spectacular fashion, a down-on-his-luck suburbanite who has always played by the rules decides to radically reinvent himself by plotting to fake his own death in order to start life anew. In today's age of DNA testing, digital footprints, and lack of individual anonymity, his escape and ultimate transformation prove to be much easier said than done. Writers: Josh Shaffer & Eli Kooris | Producers: Landscape Entertainment (Bob Cooper, JJ Jamieson), Michel Fuchs

15 more days until the greatest weekend of AMC in history! Final episodes of Breaking Bad, season premiere of Hell On Wheels, AND series premiere of Low Winter Sun! Not to mention the unneeded (but warmly welcomed) Talking Bad.
