First series loss at home for Tulsa since 2008. Blazers are alone at the top of the heap at 13-2, 26-10 overall.

Coming into the week UAB was ranked in the low 30s(32, I think) while Tulsa was ranked #17. Taking 2 of 3 in Tulsa after losing 11-0 to Alabama and 4-1 in the 1st game in Tulsa was a strong show of character and shows how good this team is.

Wonderful. My work and officiating schedule has not allowed me to see them play this year so far. Time to look at my trusty pocket schedule and see about changing that.

Ever since they got that on-campus venue, they've evolved into a competitive, successful team. Coincidence? I don't think so...So glad they got out of that dung heap called Green Springs Park.

A couple of weeks ago or so during a slow pitch softball tournament, two ladies were robbed in one of their parking lots by a pair of punks, one wielding a shotgun. One of the ladies decided to put up a fight and tried to wrest the weapon from one of the b***ards, which went off in the parking lot during the struggle, fortunately none of the ladies were hurt (unfortunately, none of the robbers were, either). Players and umpires at a nearby playing field heard the shotgun blast.

Police were called and they got there in record time, but the ***holes got away, stealing one of the ladies' vehicles and all valuables inside. It was found a few days later about a mile or so from where the robbery took place. No known status on the suspects, whether still at large or caught and arrested yet. I hope UAB's tennis team can get the hell away from there soon as well, for the incident took place not at all far from where they play their "home" tennis matches.
