Without looking everybody's schedule up, I was wondering how many teams on average that the existing SBC members schedule CUSA,MAC,MWC teams? I mostly interested in the other nonAQ conferences and didnt include the old Big East as they were an AQ conference (sort of). And then how many BCS(AQ) teams do you play a year?
I'm sure this is different with each team. But what I'm wondering is:
Are we going to see more NonAQ versus NonAQ conference play with the proposed pay out system? I'd think this is the direction we are headed as one conference tries to provide evidence of its superiority over another. I certainly would love to be able to help the conference by giving us wins over CUSA and MAC teams. (I know, I know... This is not about us thinking we will win those games- just a strong desire for the conference to rise in reputation).
If this is going to be growing trend, does anyone else think that THIS might be what the BCS conference guys want? It is in their best intereset to hush as much public outcry for expanding the 4team playoff. When we see an undfeated non-AQ progam, that is when some of the discussion of that heats up. So, this incentive to knock each other off more might help prevent that. Just a thought.
I sort of see the decision of the BIG10 to not play anymore FCS programs anymore (Thanks App State:
)as more chances for NonAQs to get knocked off. But that could back fire on some of them! I know that they feel they need the SOS, but they better be carefull! NDSU anyone? There are some weak programs inside that conference football wise, but I guess it is better for them to lose to a nonAQ FBS than an FCS team in terms of their strength of Schedule. Some of them arent taking anychances with FCS teams like Charleston Southern - Come on Big Ten. I just hope that some Sun Belt teams can get on some of those schedules like Minnesota!

What is your opinion on scheduling strategy? More BCS programs and hope for some knock outs like ULM over Ark or WKU over UK?
We certainly need those $ games, but do we schedule as many as possible and NO FCS to improve StrengthOfSchedule.
I think this: 1 Strong BCS $ game and hope for the upset.

NO FCS
And as many nonAQ program as possible:
