The baseball stadium isn't making the city money as long as we pay for it. Which will be the next 30 years at least.

you've been going to too many rich dad, poor dad workshops. Do your self a favor and look up liquidity ratios, you have absolutely no clue what you're talking about.

Let's put it another way.

Is the baseball stadium going to make the city money? Yes or no

Exactly. The city should not have presented it in the way that they did. They divided the city with how they did this and continue to do so.

I will gladly attend a few games a year as will some El Pasoans. Unfortunately, I actually think some people will vow to stay away solely because of the way City Council handled this.

You just don't have a clue... Do parks make the city money? do libraries? do museums? do city golf courses? do roads? do swimming pools? Does the environmental department? Did city hall? Most of those are proprietary governmental funds (which means they act in some cases like a business), yet they don't make enough revenue to cover their cost, but their overall benefits outweigh their cost.

No friendo, my point was you having to resort to saying "let's put it another way" was the equivalent of you waving the white flag. You couldn't back up your points so you had to change directions. It was especially lame to ask if the stadium was going to make the City any money when I had just explain how it wouldn't a few posts earlier.

Whatever.

My opinion is the the city could have presented this ball park in a better way that would have gained public support.

They could have found an alternate location that would not have required the demolition of City Hall.

And they could have come clean with the public that this was quality of life issue and not an economic booster.

For this reason, It is likely to fail in 15 to 20 years just like Cohen did.

I lose?

I had no idea we were even playing a game.

What did I lose?

What did you win?

"Let's put this another way..."

"Whatever"

Those are clear signs your ship has sank.
