Always nice having a few more Rockets down here. They are trying hard to find a slot receiver...he should get a good look.

Quote:What's more intriguing is his ability as a kick and punt returner, where he received All-Mid-American Conference honors. The Bucs currently have no reliable returners.

So they mention that he was All-MAC as a returner, but not All-American as a returner. 03-confused

Quote:He was incredibly productive in college, catching 304 passes for 3,276 yards and 25 touchdowns in three years at Toledo -- but production like that doesn't necessarily mean much at that level.

Are you serious?? Those are stats that include games against Ohio $tate, Purdue, Colorado, and Boise St. But all the other games are against petty MAC teams and other teams like the MAC. Man, no respect!!! Those are very impressive numbers regardless!!

I think Page has what it takes to be a very good slot receiver in the NFL, but somebody would counter your argument by simply saying, "Freddie Barnes."

The NFL minimum is somewhere around $400,000. I'm not sure what the scale is for a player on the practice squad. If he makes the team, he'll be pulling in a few hundred thousand for sure.

The primary fact is that he should have stayed in school. Got some really bad advice somewhere.

Luv Page, but I hear he was in really bad shape when he worked out for NFL scouts. Maybe he's just burned out with football. Doesn't take away his UT years.

Do you think knee injury kept him from being in proper shape? I think he has the drive to make something of himself. I would be profoundly disappointed if he just quit. Anyway, if he's going to TB he must be going to give it his best shot.

We have seen others, with less resume, make it big in the NFL.

He is coming off an ACL tear and rehab. Now that he is with an NFL team you will see him have access to the very best staff and conditioning. The Bucs have an amazing facility down here with a coach that comes from the college game. This could be a very good fit for Page. The Bucs would not have taken him if they didnt think otherwise.
