Kinda ridiculous. As a matter of fact I think this make be one of the last of its kind as the NCAA has put a stop to it...

I like it.

I can see there being problems officiating the game, especially determining if some one is out of bounds, in the darker palm tree area.

This article does provide a nugget I had not previously seen: only the Top 12 teams make the conference tournament next year (just like the good old days).

The design that didn't make the cut is CRAZY wild.

A blown-up pic of the finished product shows a white border around the court.

I think it looks pretty cool and gives an advantage to the home team.

That's not something we want, since it's not our floor!

It's no worse than Boise's field or Oregon's uniforms.

I don't see a problem with this.

Local flavor on a team's BB court has become the vogue with trees in Oregon, mountains in one school's court and I suspect others we just have not seen on TV. IF UAB were to decide to follow this trend, what would you suggest as a scene to be unique to UAB?

Call me old fashioned...my kids do...but that court is just wrong.

I would regulate what Boise's field looks like as well as Oregon's uniforms also.

How about a "Mt Rushmore type motif" with the faces of UAB's athletic leaders? Bartow, Hill, Young, etc.

Or the Sloss Furnaces in panorama.

Thanks GH33 for the illustrations from other schools in post #21. Of course, any promo court design works better when you can get it seen on TV.
