No one get the idea of bringing them into the conference... please. I'm surprised C-USA isn't interested in them since they're in a metro area of 800,000.

I have ZERO interest in bringing them in the league. I know you weren't insinuating that to me though. I just wanted to provide some new material on the board since I'm tired of reading the same fodder over and over.

Not 6 months ago, they were discussing whether or not they should return to D2

I may have inadvertently turned this into yet another conference realignment thread. My bad.

Not really. Just the usual faculty complaining. No one with authority to make a decision was contemplating that.

They do crack me up though. I'll read the box score and they had 105% of capacity then look at game photos or video and the place is about 70% full at best in football.

We played there in basketball on the Wednesday of Thanksgiving. I didn't go because we were getting ready for the holiday but it was their second largest crowd in history. They had one concession stand open, one ticket window open and were totally overwhelmed trying to deal with crowd and it was less than UALR draws on a good Saturday.

RE: Central Arkansas goes big!
When did they list 105% capacity? And weren't the UCA-ASU football games some of the largest crowds ever in Jonesboro? At one point, I think they might have been the largest ever.

Estes is listed at 8,035. They announced an average attendance of 8550. That's 106% of capacity.

There have been good crowds for UCA at ASU but UCA has never sold their ticket allotments.

Our largest crowd ever was set this past season. Before that, Memphis always drew the big crowds.

UCA has drawn well in Jonesboro, but the majority of the extra crowd they bring is casual interest because in state matchups are so rare in Arkansas. Its not like UCA sent a large # of fans up here.
