It's Final Four weekend ...
... in chess, too. The Washington Post has a story and video about how U. Maryland Baltimore County's fortunes have waned as at least one other school rachets up an arms race in grandmasters and coaches.

Texas teams like UT-Dallas, UT-Brownsville and Texas Tech are perennial powers in this competition.
