I have that Friday feeling that the lineup is good for five or six runs (at least). Good luck Owls.

Let's get off to a quick start and give AK an early lead to work with.

Byrd struck out swinging on 3-2 pitch.
Stringer flied out to RF on 3-2 pitch.
Stainback ground out to 3B.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the first inning.

RE: Rice vs. ECU (Friday 5:00pm CT Game)
AK once again struggling with his control and throwing a lot of pitches, but an inning-ending double play got him out of the first inning jam (single, sac bunt, BB, 6-4-3).

Aquino leadoff single. Hit and run with Cook?
Cook successfully executes the sac bunt. Runner on 2B, one out.
Perrott ground out to 2B, with Aquino moving to 3B with two outs. An out, but at least he hit it to the right side. Good situational hitting.
Ratterree ground out to P.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the 2nd inning.

Austin strikes out the side in orderKKK. That's more like it!

Teykl overmatched striking out on 3 pitches.
Ewing ground out to 2B.
Byrd struck out on 4 pitches.
Guys, I know Hoffman is an imposing power pitcher, but prior to tonight he had but 36 Ks in 47 IP. He's leading with fastballs down the middle to try to get ahead in the count. So long as he continues doing this, we should be looking dead red on that first pitch.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the third inning.

Another good start for Kubitza. Wonder if the equipment manager left our bats in Houston

AK ends his strikeoutKKKKK streak at five staight, but still gets the 1-2-3 inning (ground out).

Stringer two-strike, leadoff single! Nice job.
Stainback fails to get the bunt down and ends up striking out.
Aquino grounded into 5-4-3 double play.
Another wasted leadoff baserunner. The saga continues.

Scoreless heading to the bottom of the fourth inning.

Of course it's impossible to tell from the picture being streamed to my screen..but the infield grass at ECU looks likes it's mown pretty high. VERY high, it seems.
I didnt see our sac bunt in the 2nd, but it seems like that kind of turf might be favorable to us..IF we can get it down.

Arrrgh! The only way I can follow the games at work is to listen to them on my iPad. For some reason, the feed keeps getting dropped today. This is not usually a problem. I have noticed though, that the link address seems to have changed from what it usually is.

I guess there is an infield underneath all that grass. No lawn mowers in Carolina?
