Just about to post this. Another article about how a group of professors sought his removal. (Hint Hint Rice professors!)

I am not in favor of professors taking actions to try to remove anyone without proper due process. Don't forget what happened in the Duke lacross scandal several years ago. Everyone piled on, including professors, to condemn the team and they were proven innocent when all the facts come out. As much as I would like Greenspan out, having professors weigh-in is not the solution.

With the tape there's a lot more evidence for the professors to argue their case than there was at Duke or Rice. As someone else pointed out, if a professor had treated a student that way they wouldn't have gotten off with a three-day suspension. A coach should be no different.

What do you think is proper due process here? I would think it would be an investigation by Rice into whether these statements were made or not.. and Rice seems to have conducted and completed such an investigation already long ago.

I understand there is still a lawsuit hanging, but that seems immaterial to whether Greenspan should be terminated or not. Discrimination is clearly a threshold for that, but just making those statements and facilitating the decimation of MBB surely is as well.

The faculty could very well recommend terminating Greenspan on the grounds of poor job performance and having Rice's name being dragged through the mud while on his watch.

I'm missing something. What does Stitch Head have to do with Rutgers (or the Rice U situation)?
