Agree. Everybody is replaceable. Only the school remains the same.

There was never ever any drama before this season for any school in the country.

I get it, man; I do. It's easy (read: lazy) to pretend like this drama only goes on in our bubble and it goes on because we recruit local players, but you couldn't be more wrong. You exist in the Memphis bubble and think it's the center of the basketball world where all bad things happen. The me-first mindset that is causing players to do things like transfer when things don't go perfectly is pervasive. It's happening all around the country and it's due to one thing: AAU. I recommend reading "Play Their Hearts Out".

The World Wide Wes like figures of the basketball world have created a culture in AAU basketball where young men are surrounded by yes-men by the age of 12. They are telling these kids all throughout high school that they're the next big thing and that they'll be the star. Then, when the players get to college, things aren't the way they were told it would be. They're playing against dozens of other AAU kids who were told the same thing and are just as talented, upperclassmen who beat them up with experience, and coaches who design gameplans to eliminate them. Everything they've been told comes crashing down and they don't know how to handle it. These same poisonous creatures that surrounded them in high school start telling them it's the coaches or the other players.

If you want Josh to continue to recruit elite talent, you can be sure that he's going to continue to run into players who, by no fault of their own, are not prepared for the mental side of the game. It's not Memphis kids. It's the disgusting system of exploitation that has been set up in the AAU game and I see it getting worse.

+10 to everyone who took the Blidge reference and ran with it. Good to see there is still some humor on this board.

Don't get so upset. It happens every year, at many schools. CBSSports already has a list of 100 kids looking to transfer. This doesn't include the ones leaving for the draft or overseas. The transfers got up to 450 last year. Unfortunately, this is the new normal.

Some of the high school coaches are just as bad or worse than some of the AAU guys
