He is getting 2+ years credit for time served.

I'll never understand how everyone who is convicted of murder does not get anything less than life in prison or the death penalty.

Well...he was not convicted. It was a plea deal.


Though what he did was MUCH worse than just killing her.

The fact this guy isn't in prison for life is horrible.

The prosecutors said the case was not air tight. Looks like they opted for the certain prison time rather than risk him walking. I hate it, but understand it.

I get why they did this. I also think that they didn't want Keller's image ruined by a full blown trial.

Hopefully justice will be served inside the prison

In any case good riddance, glad its over. This case is ending, the ridiculous recycling scandal is wrapping up... lets give EW the boot and start with a clean slate.

It would not surprise me if the EW situation lingers. I envision this will be tied up in the courts with suits and counter-suits.

Pretty hard to prosecute high profile murder cases when the fickle electorate replaces the state's attorney every election cycle.
