If anything, we have had timely hitting that will revert to average, but the Braves aren't hot....but it is kinda scary if they get healthy. Not sure what we do with Gattitude though.

This post made me so excited I jumped up and down.

Hey guys, let's keep the Braves slobberfest for "OT: I'm from Virginia but have an unhealthy Atlanta obsession" Thread. Back to Nats talk.

the Nats are the Expos....always will be!

I like the Nats. They are my second team...and I root hard for them. It sucks that the Braves and Nats are in the same division.

My Braves obsession started as a kid when Richmond had all the young Braves talent come through town. Been a fan for 22 years now. Sorry!

Nats win 10-3. Good to see a win like this after this past weekend.

Thankfully it is still the beginning of the season. Kind of worried about the bull pen a little.

So, game tonight at 7:10. The bull pen and bats need to start making things happen.

EDIT: Went ahead and took the Orioles out of the title.

Det has been our best pitcher this year. Go figure, he's our 5th! But he should be our 4th. Screw Dan Haren.

Hoping that Strasburg can fix whatever is wrong. He is now 1-3.

LuLzZ @ the Nationals. Matt Harvey dominates Strasburg, and my boy Gee shuts them out today. It's a shame that the Nats will never achieve the same level of success as their hype indicated.

Nats beat the Reds 8-1. Gio was the pitcher. Now in second place with a .500 record. Zimmerman pitches tomorrow.

RE: OT:Washington Nationals
You know, I was pretty down on the season so far. After a great start, we really fell off. But looking at the stats, Detwiler and Zimmerman have two of the best ERAs in baseball. Gio finally showed up last night. Strasburg just needs to figure out the first inning. With Det and Zim pitching like aces, we need our two real aces to come around and you can put Dan I Can't Pitch Haren out there every 5th game and we should still be a first place team.

The fact that we are 11-11 right now is pretty remarkable considering the plethora of issues we've had so far. This team has a few long stretches in them. I'm talking going on 20 game stretches where they win 15-18 games. We are one of those stretches away from being back on top of the league.

If you compare it to an NFL season, we've been through the equivalent of 2 NFL games right now. Still A LOT of time left and the Nats have wayy too much talent to not compete.

Very true. It's like if the Patriots start the 2013 season 1-1 with a win over the Jets and a close 10 point loss to the Broncos. People might have questions about their ability to hang with the Broncos, but know that come December/January, both teams will be meeting again with more on the line.

Zimmerman looked good today. If it wasn't for a throwing error, he would have had a no-hitter. Oh well. Good job Nats on getting the win.

Nope, reaching base on an error doesn't count as a hit. X. Paul had a leadoff single in the 3rd. Good pitchers' duel between Zimmermann and Bailey in that one.

Hopefully, the Nats can get back to winning consistently. They beat the Braves 3-2.
