If you took UTSA and ODU based on "media markets", you really need to get better people doing the research for you.

GSU will do well, but we would get their quicker in CUSA - our attendance is a function of who we play in a city with lots of other options. The better the opponents, the quicker we will grow.
You're only thinking of yourselves. You say that "Better the opponents, the quicker we will grow". But how is playing Georgia State going to help Marshall and Southern Miss grow? Your school will attract no better than VMI when you come to play at our schools. If you can use that excuse so can we. 04-chairshot

If we're going to grab a school from Georgia it will be Georgia Southern whom we already have a history with, better fan support and a better pedigree.

You had me until that last bit.....that's funny right there.

Actually, if you have a long-term view, adding GSU is a good idea, and that is what I was referring to. Long-term it would be better to bring in a school that has high potential than a school that has already maxed-out their potential - that is how we help the other schools grow. That is all.

Not trying to argue the point, just wanted to see what the reaction was all about.

The Marshall poster is correct in this instance. I can sum up the Southern Miss athletic view in a single question:

How many victories between the hedges do yall have?

LOL....CUSA often go into Athens and beat UGA, huh?

FWIW, I don't see a scenario where GSU joins CUSA with So. Miss still in it. I think you guys are the next to leave - probably when Navy tells the new BE, "thanks but no thanks" or UTEP gets a WAC invite.

I'm impressed by your ability to take a thread about mapping C-USA's geographic footprint and turning it into a thread about your FCS transitional team with very little history of success.

WAC invite? Why would UTEP go to the WAC?

I assume you mean MWC?
