OT-Baylor Women's Loss
I guess Kim Mulkey never watches the men's game. She had the same time (oh alright 0.1 seconds less, 2.7 to 2.6 seconds) that Duke had against Louisville (what is it with Louisville) when Laettner took the inbound pass at half court and hit the winner. Instead of putting the tallest/strongest player in the women's game at half court she parks her all the way down court and then the inbounds pass comes in way before half court forcing a pitiful heave.

I wondered the same thing. Figure out who has the strongest arm and how far she can throw the basketball. Position BG at that point, and let's see what happens.

Dribbling from near end court to center court and then heaving it makes no sense.

From the highlights on ESPN, that was a vicious game.

The Hill to Laettner pass was against Kentucky, not Louisville.

They had no time outs left to properly set up the play. Of course, they could have been doing it during the free throws....

Or have worked on it in practice.

I don't typically watch women's basketball, but this highlight was on sportscenter, and I thought Kim Mulkey's blaming of the officiating was pretty tacky. And what's up with all the trash talking and thug-like behavior between Baylor (those loving Baptists on Easter of all days???!) and Louisville? Sorry not my sport.

Gee whiz, don't denigrate the whole sport because of one Baylor-Louisville game! Come on over to Autry and watch the Owls -- they will make you proud.

Sure! It's an easy mistake -- after all, Louisville is the state capital. 03-wink

Yeah good point -- I was too broad brush with my comment, but that's the only game I've seen in years. I'm sure the Owls would hold themselves to a higher standard than what I saw yesterday.
