Quick 1-2-3 inning for Chase (2 ground outs, fly out).

Stringer ground out to 2B.
Stainbackk groundout to SS.
Aquino singles.
Cook flied out to LF.

Still down 2-3 heading to the top of the seventh inning...and I've got to go to a Board meeting.

wow. the two out walk and hbp are what really stung Chase. the single and double could only cost one run at most, by definition.

The two wild pitches didn't help either.

so far we are a lot better against CUSA than against the Southland.

if we lose tonight, we have to win out against Lamar and Tx St to get to 3-3

Yeah, amazing to think McDowell could get the loss only giving up 2 hits in 5.2 innings. But I don't think it'll happen. Owls are about to put up 4 runs.

RE: Rice vs. Texas State (Monday Game)
Nice play at the plate (Ford to Perrott) gets the Bobcat trying to score from 3B on a grounder. Sounds like a close play and a nice job by Geoff to hold onto the ball.

[Hmm, JP said Ford with the throw home, but Gametracker shows the digital grounder going to Stringer. Anybody see it?]

New Bobcat pitcher leads off hitting Perrott (in revenge for Geoff's nice play last inning). This kid's 0-3 with a 6.75 ERA. Time for an Owlsplosion.
