Would think they'd have their entire bullpen save for Rankin, who threw 2.1 last night. Maybe Wilson or Gibaut (who threw 0.1 last night) is next for them.

On a side note, Jimmy seems to have a bright future in color commentary (a la Jose Cruz, Jr.) if he doesn't get into coaching.

Another liner by the Owls. This one goes past the 3rd baseman for a double. Good start Keenan!

Walk for Ford. Men on 1B and 2B for the top of the order. No outs. Gotta love Jimmy Baseball's commentary on what's going on with the pitcher and Ford during that at-bat; really great (basically saying the pitcher has a base open, so he's throwing everything inside, cuz Ford wants to hit it to the right side to advance the runner from 2B to 3B with no outs, thus setting up a sac hit).

Need to score here. I'll go for a crooked number.

Bases loaded. Putting pressure on the pitcher and defense.

No movement in Tulane bullpen yet and on 3-1 count a group heads down. Byrd walks to load them

More great commentary from Jimmy B. Talking about how Coach Graham may have told Byrd not to sac bunt being down 4, may have said "you're hitting the ball well, we're down four, get a hit," and how the 1B and 3B are in, middle infield is pinched for a DP, so lots of field to hit through. Leads to a walk and bases loaded.

Woof. DP. Stringer scores one, but starts off the double play. 4-1 Tulane. Perrott up. Man on 3B. 2 down.

EDIT: Geoff gives one a ride; foul. Apparently close to a HR. Then K's.

Wow, that hurts. Only getting 1 there. Stringer is really scuffling right now.

Yeah. Bases loaded, no outs, needs to get more than 1. But 1's better than zero. Let's crush this guy next inning, guys.

Boy, the #9 hitter has owned us today. 2 hits and a walk. Leadoff single for Tulane (throw's too late after Ford makes the tough stab).

EDIT: Then McCanna gets that runner at 2B on the sac bunt attempt. Throw was off the bag, but sounds like Ford made a great play to get him. Then a DP ends the inning. Nice job, Owls!

Just once, I want to know what was in the text that she was reading when she drove into oncoming traffic. It's so weird how that PSA ends.

Uno, dos, tres for Arroz. Onto T7. 9 outs left for Los Owls to mount a comeback.

Just don't understand all of the first pitch swinging in the Rice 6th, especially considering how their pitcher scuffled in the previous inning.

RE: Tulane game 3
I just arrived back at my apartment after flying back from NY, and from the looks of things, Napoli is a finesse left-hander, yet our right-handed hitters are pulling ground ball after ground ball. You've got to change your approach against such soft-tossers, and go the opposite way if you're going to be successful. Sounds like we're playing right into Napoli's hands. And, yes, Christian's slump which is close to 4 weeks now and has seen his AVG drop 100 points, is leaving a ton of runners on base and in scoring position. But he's too good a player and leader to bench for a day or two; he simply has to play through it. Not sure whether he is simply pressing, or something is wrong with the mechanics of his swing.

Yeah, kinda incomplete. I always assumed the PSA was being edited while driving in oncoming traffic...
