Byrd leadoff walks should be runs.

RE: Tulane @ Rice Friday game
Two unearned runs on just two hits for Tulane, centered around a 2-base Teykl error.

What happened to Perott. Did he try to steal or was he picked off.

We haven't won a game all year that the opponent has scored first (0-6). Today would be a good day to break that trend.

Perrott reached via HBP. First pitch to Ewing was in the dirt, but didn't get away from the catcher. Perrott must have misread it, as he took off for second, but was out fairly easily.

Stringer, showing signs of coming out of his epic slump, singles up the middle.

Aquino with the RBI single, but then a bad base-running blunder..

Owls down 2-1 in the middle of the 5th.

Not helping ourselves by running into outs three times so far..

Ratt bunts back to the pitcher, Ewing forced at 2nd.

Ewing roped a ball for a single to start the inning.

What is going on. Is their catcher bad. We have a number of SBs already this series.

Ump is a little inconsistent at 2B. Ewing and Ratterree got to 2B at the same time IMO, but Ewing was called out and Ratt was safe.

RE: Tulane @ Rice Friday game
Wow, what a ridiculous run.

Stainback a soft liner that the SS fields on a hop diving in the hole. Ratt on 2nd assumes the ball is going into LF, rounds 3rd and heads home. SS, apparently in disbelief, hesitates and then makes a poor throw, and Ratt is able to score from 2nd on a ball that doesn't leave the infield.

Byrd is perfect at the plate, 2BB's and a single.

Thanks, AE. I was wondering what Westside was talking about.

1-out single plates go-ahead run for Tulane.

Poor throw by Ratt-- good throw has the runner at the plate, and the hitter is able to reach second.

Next play he's erased on an alert play by Stainback, 6-5.
