LaTech opens the season @ NC State

No offense to ODU, but NCSU suuure loves it some home-and-home with new FBS teams. They did the same with South Alabama.

Very surprised its a 1&1. That knocks them a few pegs down on the CFB ladder.

If you beat them State will likely try to never schedule you again.

As far as I'm concerned, with Heinicke as a senior in 2014........ bring it.

For those that do not know that is what NCSU AD Yow stated why ECU has the upper hand when ECU plays NCSU........last time we played two years ago ECU won I guess because of this "Psychological Advantage".....of course our lady softball beat ncsu today 5-2......same reason????...... also ECU plays football this year @ ncsu and 2016 @ ECU......hope the "psychological advantage" continues to work for us.

Per our AD, we only commit to at least a 1&1 (as well as every other sport).

VT is the only school we'd do a 2-1 with for football.

It's that darn "psychological advantage" the Pirates hold that keeps NC State from scheduling ECU more often.

Yeah... That screams "buyout".

Don't get me wrong, I hope they go to both games (especially ODU), but the "buyout" is a clever way for BCS schools to get a buy game without actually getting the other team to ink it like that for the fans of the "buy" team.

Bet neither game happens. Look at how they try to wiggle out of playing ECU. I'll give UNC tinny bit of credit in extending the contract with ECU. NC State, they lose to you the run away fast. Beat them and first they they say, it is a lose, lose game that shouldn't be played or if it is that it should only ever be at State. They still try to say that about ECU.

First year programs don't usually win very much. ODU wins less than 6 next season, unless their entire schedule is cream puff like 2012 UTSA schedule

NC State's board was surprisingly receptive to the series, mainly because they want to recruit Hampton Roads more.

Our 2013 schedule is 3 ACC teams (UMD, UNC & Pitt), ECU, Idaho and 7 FCS teams.

I would not count on NCSU returning the home game but they may surprise me. Wow it looks like ODU is just going to jump on in with 5 FBS schools on the schedule.
