NMSU produces it's own games that aren't picked up by ESPN. We usually broadcast about 4-5 football games, 11-12 basketball games, and we also broadcast 3-5 games each of other sports like Volleyball, W Basketball, W Softball, and Baseball.

Aggie Vision can actually be seen already on ESPN 3, Altitude Sports, Fox Sports Arizona, KVIA El Paso, CSN Houston, and all of New Mexico. I heard that NMSU will distribute the game for free to your local TV stations when you play in Las Cruces. Aggie Vision is about to be upgraded to HD next year.

Here are some examples of the broadcast.

Appalachian has a video board that they call "App Vision". Georgia Southern has a lightbrite display that they call "The Green Square" due to its frequent malfunctions resulting in huge green pixels.

We have a black line that makes cameo appearances on our video board. Hopefully with the upcoming renovations, we'll get a new board.

Every conference game should be shown on ESPN3 or a computer network.

We're supposed to get a new hd one along with the football ops building in that endzone. It should be finished before we play our first Sun Belt game.

Welcome to the Sun Belt. Our contract with ESPN provides that you can't sell those games to outlets outside of states with a Sun Belt member or states that border a Sun Belt state. You are free to ESPN3 to your heart's content.

I wouldn't hold my breath on the video board. I believe it is an add on with a TBD date.

Hey I'm glad to have ya on the board nmsuaggies! I hope you will stick around, we need some representation from your fanbase. Please, tell your fellow Aggie fans that we'd love to have 'em here on http://www.sunbeltbbs.com. 04-cheers

As for the AggieVision broadcasts, that's definitly a benefit to having yall on board. I am happy to have NMSU, now if we can just avoid having Idaho tag along, we'll be better off for it.

The biggest reason I am in favor of adding New Mexico State is because it fixes Texas State's problem of being an outlier. I don't want to lose the Bobcats in the future like we did UNT (good riddence), especially not because of an unhappiness stemming from geography. We need the State of Texas as a Conference, we already lost Florida and Tennessee.

So, you could have a college pay view site within your own state and offer it in any border state that doesn't have a Sun Belt team. Is that the way I am reading that correct?

I believe he said they offer the broadcast for free to the team playing them didn't he? Wouldn't that solve the issue arkstfan just mentioned?

You don't have to black out your subscription streaming video but you can't sell App vs. Georgia State to Comcast Chicago or MSG.

NMSU distributes Aggie Vision for free. We don't sell the games. Also, NMSU students make up about 90% of Aggie Vision employees. Many of those students in the past have gone on to work for ESPN. It's a good program.

Try giving the feed away for free to Fox Sports Pacific. Commissioner gets a nasty call from Bristol, he calls you, you stop it.

It's from a later phase of the Soaring to Victory campaign, but it will be installed when the building is built. A bond will be used to cover the costs of all the construction with the debt service being paid off by the donations for the campaign.
