We are the "Sun Belt Conference." "Sun Belt, the Belt, and SBC" are also acceptable.

We are NOT the SunBelt. Take pride in your new home and make sure to always represent the name properly.

While the sentiment is good, it seems like you're splitting hairs a bit.

Someone needs to make sure the new members know how to properly pronounce the Conference's name. If our own people can't get it right, how do you expect outsiders to?

Nothing, I was a student at Troy State for two years. They changed the name after my sophomore year, I was part of the "Keep the State" movement. 03-thumbsup

I will correct someone if they do it out of ignorence though. However ,that isn't out of anger.

I always liked Troy State better, but Troy gives more of an unknown, like it might be some private school if people don't know.

Yeah, Troy sounds really cool. Powerful, intriguing, steeped in tradition. Our uniforms add to this perception IMO.

I hope you do not get mad at me for still saying that I graduated from Troy State(Phenix City Campus). Now I will say that I have only been on Troy's campus 2 times in my life for one for a high school football game and the other for game against North Texas. Troy lost both games. I also call Charles Henderson by the name of Troy. Some times it is hard for some of us old dogs to change old habits.

This is just as stupid as any ULL or Georgia name squabbling over letters.

Get over yourself.

Well, in North Carolina, "belt" is two syllables.

We need to make sure you get a ticket for GaSouthern @ Troy.

Why do I feel like I just entered a bad dream?

I don't know...why do you?

Now, get busy with that lotion...and spell out the Conference name properly.

No, you're allowing the lack of a space to really bother you; which is weird.
