No sarcasm. He's horrible. Constantly makes up crap to sound like he's actually describing the play.

Weideman (radio guy) is the superior hockey announcer but Foley's voice is synonymous with Blackhawks hockey. He isnt "horrible".

He paints a picture of the action for me when I listen on GN. Every broadcaster has their fans and detractors, I think he's a definite plus for their ratings.

That's just it. Watch what's going on and listen to what he says. - (Once he stops blabbering on about some mope who played golf on tursdays with his cousin's turd wife) - shots don't go off legs, and how in the hell does he know when a goalie " he never saw it" . How many other announcers say a shot when off a leg 76 times a game? None, because they actually can follow the play and describe it . Sorry, the guy makes crap up and is both terrible and over-rated. He belongs in the AHL.

Finally, he's done for the year. To borrow another stupid announcer phrase,..... YYYES!
