This is what most JMU fans have been looking for from the administration.

Yeap, good Job by the admin. We were about to fall of the cliff and boom, Bourne makes a statement that doesn't have the words monitoring or committed to CAA in it.

I don't know what to think of it though. JMU is finally acknowledging that they have been planning, but that time frame of summer worries me.
The movements are happening literally right now, not around June 30.

The statement did say it is fluid and things could change for the now...at least that is how I read it.

I thought it made sense, since I don't see us announcing intentions until July 1st.

there won't be any openings remaining in any conferences as of July 1st 2013. UNLESS there are more power conference raids of the America 12. This current round is almost over and just like last year, there are no spots left for jmu except for the sun belt. Liberty is about to take a spot in the sun belt over us if we keep hesitating. We will look even worse as a 5th VA FBS school.

That Akron away game may get a bunch of travelling Dukes if we announce MAC!

I plan to be there, hopefully.

I'm planning on making the trip too! Either way - MAC or no MAC

I am glad they finally decided to say something. They honestly needed to. I hope they are prepared to take the advice of the council if they say we need to move up (which I would be surprised if they didn't, esp based on their assessment of Liberty).

Did Carr Sports do Liberty's study?

Interesting, have they mostly favored fbs or have theie been instances like some suggest that a school stays where they are? Personally it would be death if we stayed in the CAA.
