Who is "On Deck" To Replace WKU and keep us at 12?
I'm sure Benson and the presidents are aware of WKU's interest in the C-USA. My question after the announcement of going to 12 is this. Who is lined up to replace them? Based on what little I know this is what i've gathered over the past year...

Ready to move
Liberty
JMU (But are they interested?)

Not Quite Ready
Missouri State

Maybe the plan is to make NMSU a full member (bring in their best qualities of Basketball and baseball) and add another out-liar for football only? Possibly from the East?

I agree that if WKU Leaves that NMSU becomes a full member and we pickup someone for Football only, Maybe Delaware or Liberty for just football?

They have the stadium, they have a winning tradition (600+ winning %) and a couple of championships back in the 80's. But I rarely hear their name brought up.

Their stadium could quickly become FBS ready by building up the "visitor" grandstands.

I most hope for Missouri State. They have strong programs, great facilities (other than football), and they sit very much within our footprint (If you throw out the NMSU and Idaho mess). I know many people say they aren't interested, but I just have a hunch that there is more there than meets the eye in regards to a move-up from them.

I would yell for a WKU vs. EKU game if they moved up. I would fully support the move, as that rivalry would kick ass being brought back.

Delaware, "outside of footprint"? Ha, that's a joke. Where is NMSU and Idaho? Off the map?

Can't imagine JMU would turn down football-only. They have an FBS-ready stadium, a great fan base and a solid program. They already send their football team to Maine, Delaware, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, so the increase in travel would be minimal.

Very true. Makes sense to me.

JMU would be great. I prefer Mo. State to give us another team in the region of stAte, UALR, ULM, UL and WKU. I refuse to believe they are spending the amount of money they plan to spend to stay in FCS.

I vote for EKU for purely selfish reasons.

JMU being added would make me almost as excited as App getting added. We would come in with two established rivalries in the middle of an eastward conference shift.

I can't imagine that EKU could move up successfully. Their niche is FCS. Remember, they are located only 20 miles from UK in Lexington. That's not a recipe for success. Ask Eastern Michigan about being FBS and located less than 10 miles from the University of Michigan.

I heard a rumor they were not interested in jumping to the SBC at this time, but maybe they would for Football only?

I just want them to rekindle the Battle of the Bluegrass. I know they wouldn't transition successfully, but damn I'd love it.

There's an FBS program in Lexington?
