men's soccer
AppSt and GS have men's soccer as a sport, how many SunBelt Schools also have men's soccer teams.

I'm pretty sure once you include Georgia State that you have all the schools that sponsor men's soccer.

(Unless I missed someone when I was looking through Athletics sites this morning)

RE: men's soccer
SBC does not sponsor mens soccer, so you will need to be an affiliate with another confrence for those sports.

FIU was in CUSA before they moved, and FAU was in the MAC.

USA had a GREAT men's soccer program that was taken away (maybe around 2000-2001) primarily due to Title IX. A lot of USA fans would like us to add it back, which means we'd need another women's sport. Sand Volleyball is leading fan vote for another Lady Jag sport.

Men's soccer definitely needs to be readded to South. Easy add, we have the facilities. Sand Volleyball would be a fan favorite too.

I wish WKU still had our men's soccer team. I'd go to almost every home game.

Same thing with WKU. We dropped men's soccer for Title IX reasons I believe.

We increased scholarships for football by going FBS so we felt the need to cut elsewhere. The soccer team hadn't had a winning record in some time, so they were the ones cut.

I wouldn't be surprised to see App and GaSo in the same boat sooner rather than later.

I know we're indy for soccer for the time being. No rumors or anything on where we might play.

And it was the only sport of our 20 NCAA sports that was not in the SBC. Caused quite a backlash when we did cut it, though.

I'm guessing wrestling gets eliminated and we add something like women's lacrosse.

2012 C-USA soccer consisted of
SMU
Tulsa
UCF
Memphis
Kentucky
UAB
Marshall
South Carolina
FIU

Looks like we could have several openings.

Looks like we have all but women's swimming and diving, and we don't have a facility. Hmmm....Hope that's not a deal-breaker. 04-jawdrop 03-lmfao

I think only 5 SBC schools sponsor women's Swimming & Diving in the conference.
