Memphis could be elite next season. Josh Pastner finally picked up his first NCAA tournament win, and although the Tigers were blown out by Michigan State in the round of 32, they have a chance to be real contenders next season. Memphis loses D.J. Stephens, but if sophomore Adonis Thomas and juniors Joe Jackson and Tarik Black return along with the rest of its team and four top ESPN 100 recruits coming in, the Tigers will be one of the most talented teams in the country.

It's the truth! Plus it can potentially be one of, if not the greatest collection of players assemble on a Tiger team (not starting 5 but top to bottom).

I said that a few times today. "i hate the off season". I also figured out what worries me the most. Im a JP fan... But i also know we can get a name coach if he leaves. I dont worry if JP leaves... I worry that if he leaves, then this class wont stay together. We lost out on the Cousins, Wall, Henry etc class, my heart cant take losing this class too!!!

These guys need to realize that for a few of them...this is the LAST GO AROUND AND WORK AS HARD HAS HUMANLY POSSIBLE TO BECOME BETTER....

I dread the thought of potentially losing another great recruiting class ever again Yikes!!!!

I think that's their problem. They've used 3 chances and they've got one left. Can't slack off anymore.

But our guys aren't in shape and our coaches suck, haven't you been keeping up?

We were pretty close to being elite this season...and, while this is in no way looking for any kind of moral victory, the MSU game was within reach until the last media session started. Big 22 point final- but, unless being 8 down late constitutes a blowout...was not.

Barring anything weird, we will be really good for the next several seasons- especially again next year. Getting any kind break, which we could have gotten this year but did not- and no reason not to keep ascending.
