No. Them and UALR are both non-football. So no conference champ game.

After MT, NT, FAU, and FIU leave this Fall, the SBC will have:

Again, pecking order continues from top to bottom. I do want to wish UAB the best for this football season and others to follow. I keep hearing how UAB will be first victory for many of newbies but I know from ECU history Blazers can be a tough game......ask USM.
I truy believe with its new coaches UAB could be a contender in a very short period.......best wishes:)

Personally, if true, I'm happy for App State. Had many friends that went to school there and it's probably long overdue. They've paid their dues at the FCS level and have been very successful. Same for Georgia Southern. Both schools ought to establish themselves very quickly in the Sunbelt. It'll also be great playing App State in the future as an FBS school OOC versus FCS.

Congrats to Appy and Georgia Southern if true.

Well, at least they'd accomplish something UNT hasn't done in a long time. Personally, replacing UNT with App State is a step up for the Belt.

Thanks... UAB fans are very optimistic... Quietly optimistic. We have a great recruiting class for hoops, solid class for football. 2014 classes for hoops and football will probably be better than 2013. But, we don't have the history to talk crap... We have to prove it.

That will put North Carolina with 7 FBS teams in the state. Tied with Cali, Ohio and FL. Texas has 12. We're the smallest state of those four.

Both are ineligible for 2013 FCS playoffs, joins Sun Belt in all sports but football in 2014.

With app st alone the sun belt just replaced what UNT,FAU and FIU combined can put into a stadium on any given Saturday

UNT averages 19K, and FAU/FIU are both around 12K. So no.
