La Tech is 44th (73.3)
USM avg's 35.6 rebounds per game and is 11th in the country in FG% (.483%)
La Tech avg's 38.5 rebounds per game and is 276th in the country in FG% (.410%)

We don't rebound as good as La Tech but we have a better shooting %. We are pretty close in the # of points per game. This is gonna be a close game.

USM 77

Revenge game and the Yurt should be packed. Boys should be well rested and Tyndall finally got some time to look at game film of both teams over the weekend.

As with most teams we have played this year, it should come down to how many threes they make and keeping our passing crisp to minimize our turnovers.

Vegas has USM -8...that sounds about right.

Should be a great game.

Tech's strength is pressuring the ball. Full court press pretty much all game. USM had 23 turnovers in the first game against Tech and only shot 33% from the field. The pressure got to them.

They will be prepared for that tonight, but can they handle it this time? If so, they will win. If not, Tech will win again.

New Mexico State, Arizona, and La Tech were a turnover frenzy for us. After those games, we corrected the problem and have done much better.

Good Luck USM. With La Tech coming into the league next year, I hope the Dawgs play well as well, but pullin for the Eagles in this one.

If the original Mugshots hadn't burned down, I'd say go there, grab a burger and a beer.. You wouldn't be far from the campus.. I'm not sure where it got relocated to.

You can always hit Mahogany and get a few drinks and something to grub as well.

Keg and Barrell has got several beers on tap to try.

I haven't lived the Hatty night life in quite some time and I'm a creature of habit.

There's a few bars, eateries to hangout at. I'm likely gonna go to Shuckers 98 (USM-themed seafood bar with plenty of TVs & internet) to eat before the game. Since it's Monday, alot of places are gonna be closed after the game. A couple other eateries I enjoy...

There's also Keg & Barrel, Crescent City Grill, E&L Triangle Poboys & Seafood, Sidelines Sports Cafe, EaglePost (submarine sandwiches), Caliente Grille...plenty of others as well to choose from.

Most of these places I mentioned are on or just off of Hwy 98 / Hardy Street. Shuckers & Leatha's; both aren't far from each other and just a couple miles away from campus (Hwy 98 west of I-59 Exit 65 just past Turtle Creek Mall). Sidelines is on Oak Grove Road about a mile south of Hwy 98 (take Weathersby Road, go south and it'll end into Oak Grove Rd). Closest to campus are Mugshots (N 40th Ave), Crescent City Grill (Hardy St), Caliente Grille (Hardy St right in front of campus) & Eagle Post (Hardy St just east of Hwy 49). E&L Triangle and Keg & Barrel are on Hardy Street closer to downtown (East of Hwy 49) and are about a mile away.

Go to 'The Endzone' it's a 30 sec drive down the road from the bball coliseum. Best damn burger in town. Great selection of beer, tons of TV's and lots of other good stuff, their chicken nachos are EPIC and deelicious. You WON'T finish them.

I think in my whole career at USM I only went to the EZ like twice.. Neither time did I eat.
