Turns out our illiterate friend was actually a Belmont fan in disguise, using an alias on our board to screw around. IP logs did the troll in.

I don't understand why he/she got banned? Because they posed as an ETSU fan? If they were guilty of one thing it was that their posts were so hard to decipher with meaningless links , references and basic typing skills. I basically just ignored them like the long winded posts some on here write. So if something was written to justify a banishment, then so be it. But reading this board since 2005, there are far more people on here that deserve to get "banned" than that person did IMO.

The guy was posting using an alias to mock ETSU fans. The awful typing, posts about Nashville and Lipscomb were an act. He wasn't an ETSU fan. He was a troll. If he wanted to post under his Belmont name, there is nothing wrong with that, and he actually did. But the guy was just using that alias to mess around. Against forum rules that I didnt create. If you all want to believe I had some sort of vendetta against the guy that's fine, but GTS was the one that told me he was a fake.

This doesn't surprise me the way he gushed about Belmont all the time. Funny how he didn't come around after Belmont got killed by Arizona while FGCU is dancing in the sweet 16.

That was very clever of him in some ways, create a name that makes it sound like he is an alumni, then come off as obviously incapable of forming a complete sentence. That pisses me off on many levels. i have always respected Belmont, I think that their coach is a class act, and I support their Christian background. But this really puts a bad taste in my mouth regarding Belmont.

This is so stupid. It isn't like he couldn't go to a different location and start all over again. I knew there was something off about the guy when he was discussing Belmont and talent. Something Belmont has yet to truly have.

The bbs boards I believe are now setup to where you have to use a legit email. No more Yahoo, Gmail, etc...

I actually read it somewhere that the bbs sites no longer accept internet based email addresses - ie Yahoo, Gmail, etc... New members have to have it linked to something like an ISP, telecommunications company, Facebook email, etc... basically so it does verify who you are making it harder to jerk people around.

Crap, I wouldn't be able to register as a new member then. All I have is Hotmail, Yahoo, and Gmail.
