The CAA was the ODU, VCU, GMU conference. There is nothing left of it.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the college of Charleston rethink their decision to move on to the CAA.

if they do we would love to have them and Davidson as a package deal

I don't get the fasination with Davison. They are decent every 3-4 years but they don't fund all of their sports equally. Never understood the CAA flirting with them.

They got their reality check today for being asleep at the wheel the last few years and passing on the starter level opportunities they could have had in the Sun Belt years ago and been working their way up to CUSA like WKU has. They get everything they deserve.

Delaware fanbase is just the most pathetic I have ever seen. They will probably stay in D1aa anyway as content as they are and as pathetic aspirations as they have.

UNCW, there is probably no more beatdown school or fanbase. They are so broken and broke it's not even fun talking $hit to the few of the fans still left.

Dude, that first part is complete BS. There is so much misinformation posted around here.......

Swing by their board, there are still fans TODAY wanting to ride this CAA thing out. Amazing. Not many of them left, but there are a few. Back around the mid 2000's there was one fan name Rufus advocating moving up to the Sun Belt or MAC on their entire board and everyone else was against him. They'd have these debates and the board consensus was the Big East (with WVU, Louisville etc) or stay in the CAA and they'd talk about how much better it was than CUSA 2.0.

I don't get these fanbases. Delaware is the absolute most content to be the big fish in a small pond fanbase I've ever seen. Hell they are probably excited by this move hoping more schools will leave so they will have an easier shot at D1aa championships.

There are LITERALLY 2 fans who think the CAA works for us. The other 100+ who post are ready to move ANYWHERE.

I know what I read. About 2007ish that entire board was against moving up minus Rufus, even to CUSA 2.0. He's the only person on I ever saw back then that supported moving at all on that entire board. Of course most of your fanbase has come around, only took everything you knew crumbling to get to this point though which was the entire point. Anyone with any vision would have been moving back when WKU did.

That was 6 years ago....but again, not correct. I have been pro FBS since I arrived at JMU in 2000. Most students/alums have been as well. That message board on CAAZONE is NOT representative of the JMU fan base. Most posters have left due to the attacks by certain factions who are fine with the status quo.

But please, tell me about my alma mater's fan base and their wants/needs. I can guarantee you that if you took a poll at a home game, 75%+ of JMU fans would be in favor of a move to FBS and away from the CAA.

If true I wouldn't want a whole fan base with split loyalties.

I would also add Montana as one of those schools content to stay IAA. There is only a small minority that would like to move on, even though its been evident that IAA is falling apart around them and has been since the early 2000s.
