So you're saying that over 7 whole years you guys were not able to level the playing through scholarships and catch up? Sounds like recruitment issues to me. Or a really lame excuse.
I'm not free to bully FCS posters or any other posters here. There are moderators here who maintain order and if they feel my comments are out of line, they will certainly let me know. If you saw my comments as bullying...well that's your interpretation. Besides, if you felt my comments were such, you turned around and did the exact same thing by stating "this is the only place it would work for you."
That exactly what I'm saying. You had more scholarship players... Not an excuse Atl Trojan.
5-7 years to catch up? I'm not buying it!
So you saying USA will be at a disadvantage to Troy in the year 2018 and 2019 because they had moved from FCS 6 years prior and are at a scholarship disadvantage. Whatever!
Sounds like a coaching/recruiting problem to me.
Look Trojan... you're not getting my point. Let me spell it out for you. We weren't at the same spot you were. Why can't you understand that and leave it alone? Who the h*** said anything about USA? I never brought USA into it. You did. And yes...USA will struggle against Troy for a few years.
How were u not at the same spot Troy was? You joined 1AA in 1995 but you still were not at the same level as Troy by 2000 our last year before FBS??
I brought USA up as an example because you say you didn't have as many scholarships as Troy when you moved from D2 to 1AA and started playing Troy again... Same can be said of USA moving from FCS to FBS in football... 5 years from now I guess Troy will be 6-0 vs USA and its because we will have had more scholarships than USA...( I'm not buying that argument and I'm willing to bet USA fans would agree with me)
Not the same playing field bro... just isn't... Not really interested in if they agree with you, or not.

Guess we will have to agree to disagree. But it's kinda crazy you are 7 years into the same division and level as Troy and say your at a disadvantage when you lose to Troy. But oh well.

What? It worked for me, she's still married to me, at least until she finds the key to get out of the dungeo... er, basement.
Seriously, I think JMU is by far the best available option after GSU, App and NMSU.

The thing is: How interested is JMU in going FBS? This reminds me of the time before the WAC break up, everybody kept mentioning the Montana schools except both Griz and Bobcats were not interested in joining the WAC. With that said I do agree with you that JMU would be a great addition to the Sunbelt.

With the new President, I would imagine he would need time to formulate a plan to persuade his school and to court SBC.
Our new-ish President had to do the same thing.
