RE: Q & A with Coach K
Has anyone asked him yet how he intends to use the scholarship now available via the Reese Holiday decision to leave UT? Will he save it for next year or go after a transfer?

I believe he said he'll look for a transfer, and if that doesn't pan out, he'll give it to Wonnell.

RE: Q & A with Coach K
MAC teams can compete well in the NCAA tournament, or be a quick out. How does Toledo stack up next year?
Akron looked deep and talented at Savage. Losing the point guard for the NCAA was huge. Toledo, who I feel was undermanned in the Akron game couldn't turn the corner in that game as I remember. I believe Toledo can win the MAC Tourney next year, but will the Rockets be able to compete once they get to the NCAA? Pearson and Smith will be seniors, so losing them after next year makes it tough to say Toledo is a year away.
I feel Drummond and Weatherspoon will contribute well, especially as the season progresses.
A very successful season may be pretty dependent on Jonathan Williams in my opinion. Jonathan being unstoppable on offense, as he appears to be, could be very good for Toledo.
Thoughts?
Go Rockets!!

Smith has largely been a disappointment in my opinion. If the new guys allow him to just be a perimeter player he may be OK but we always struggled against big strong frontcourt guys. Smith isn' t much help defensively against those types and he isn't close to being a post up player. We really need help inside from the new guys.

He has played well at times, but I agree a more dominant inside presence will be necessary for success. When I submitted my post, I realized I should have made at least a comment on better offensive rebounding (to your point).

I think the problem with Smith is that he was made to play power forward when he's really a wing. Put him in the right position with his 3 point shooting and he will thrive.
