When is the last time ...
... a basketball player who'd once worn a Rice uniform led all rebounders in an NCAA tournament game victory?

RE: When is the last time ...
Sickening... Kazemi was the star of the game, as the swarming Oregon defense shut down Okie State. Oregon doesn't field any more talent than last year's Owls, yet they could well be on their way to the Sweet Sixteen (SLU seems manageable). Had last year's team remained intact, a Sweet Sixteen run for Rice was in the realm of possibility. Just think of what that could have done for the program...

Why is Greenspan still our AD???

Did any of our other transfers who played this year make the dance?

Not the NCAA's. Chris Eversley helped Cal Poly to its first-ever postseason appearance (CIT) where they lost in the first round. He was his team's leading scorer and rebounder (15/7) and was first-team all-Big West Conference.

the whole basketball situation is a microcosm of athletics at Rice (and I am not even commenting on FB)-the world is aware (well if they paid any attention-another issue) of what a mess it all is and yet the adminstration and BOT fiddles as Rome burns.

Losing is okay as long as you have a good enough excuse.
If you don't know where you are going, the path of least resistance will get you there.

Harvard's win is remarkable in that their two best players Kyle Casey and Brandyn Curry left the team in the wake of the cheating scandal.
