It was a Memphis fan who asked you about the attendance. A UTEP fan simply stated the Hof looked fairly empty, which is true. Congrats on the win.

But you know that it's always "a Memphis fan" that always causes trouble. :)

That's the default cause. we've had our share

This has been a horrible season in which we finished below .500 in a bad league (yes, we are a part of it), with statistically the weakest NCAA schedule put together in nearly a decade. And we still couldn't knock off 20 wins in the regular season. Most fans are pissed about Dickey, and many want him out. I personally think that Penders was forced out too early, and if he were coaching, the Hoff would've been rocking tonight, literally lol. But really, everybody was ready for the season to be over after the Tulane game, and 2 1/2 days of build up for a deflated fan base was not going to be enough to overcome for most long time supporters.

But with all of that said, the University of Houston won tonight, which makes back to back nights of beating Big Brother in 2/3 major sports. Life is good 04-cheers

I hate attendance smack, but

Considering the fact that we averaged 5730 a home game and ranked 3rd in the league only behind Memphis and UTEP. Even on a down year we outdrew you (3420), a team in the post season.

Not directly related to the topic, but I don't consider CUSA a "bad" basketball conference.

I can't remember exactly how many conference are D1, but even with an 11th ranked RPI this year, CUSA is in/near the top 1/3 of NCAA D1 conferences. Most years CUSA has been above an 11th ranking, not one of the best and not great, but not "bad" in my opinion. Admittedly, the conference has not done well when playing conferences ranked higher than CUSA.

Attendance flames are always pretty weak as we all have issues to be addressed. Some have issues on field/court/diamond and some have issues at the ticket booth; but none of us are clean of issues.

A not good Coog team was playing a not good Horns team in the first round of a D list tourny. Oh yeah, and the Rockets and Jazz were playing at the same time just a couple of miles away over at the Toyota Center.

Imo it's a minor miracle that anyone bothered to show up at all.

However, according to Marshall and UTEP fans this pic and my sig are illusions since apparently nobody comes to Houston basketball games. LOL

You do realize most UNT fans avoid pissing contests with us for a reason. You should do the same.

I can brag all I want about our basketball attendance which has been far superior in recent years and who cares about football attendance, it's inflated. 24K at the UNT/UH game my ass. More like 14K Uh fans + 4.5K UNT fans. Our BB attendance sucked this year, mostly cos of obvious reasons, but the past 10 years, we do better so I'll smack all I want.
