I thought the non power6 had pretty good representation this year. I also didn't think USM deserved a bid. They didn't play anyone.

This. All of this

Just goes to show you,
Anybody can beat Kentucky.

It goes to show that the second place team in a "mid-major" can beat the middle of the pack Goliath (like Kentucky). I am still pissed there are 8-10 teams from the big 10 in the tournament.

As much as I hate to say it, the B1G earned those spots. Those teams played some great basketball this year.

Minnesota won some big games, but they were all at home. The NCAA tournament isn't being played in Minneapolis this year. The Gophers were "turrible" on the road, and finished the year 5-11.

RE: Robert Morris 7 Kentucky 0
I am always wary of the "they didn't play anyone" complaint because many nonBCS schools have great difficulty getting contracts with ANY BCS-type schools if they want a home & home series. The "Big Boys" are mainly interested in games they can play ALL at their home field / court. (How often in their half century of games has Bama played USM in Hattiesburg?) UKY would never have played Robert Morris on their home court if they had had a choice in the location, even with it being in Calipary's home town.

Teams like Boise State feel their competitive record shows that they DESERVE to have home games against good BCS schools, but few of the latter are willing to sign on to go there. Only the NCAA might be able to force these reluctant BCS schools to go places they normally would not go by some financial carrot or stick tactic.

Sounds a lot like throwing his team under the bus.

That's what I thought last night when I was listening to his post-game comments.

The players ruined the season, I should have stopped it, but I didn't. Next year, I'll make sure I don't let them ruin the season.
